STATE OF THE ART RIBBON ELEMENT This state of the art ribbon element enclosed by top-grade Neodymium magnets boasts some of our latest ribbon microphone technologies. sE has combined traditional ribbon technologies with some of the mechanical elements of the VR1 and VR2 microphone HF (High Frequency) extension technology to bring you a classic-sounding ribbon mic with a gentle HF lift. HANDCRAFTED IN THE SPECIALIZED CAPSULE ROOM The ribbon element in every single X1 R is built by hand in the sE factory's specialized capsule room, by capsule technicians with decades of experience. sE's capsule master has been building capsules for almost 30 years - why? Because they really do sound better when they're built by hand. ROBUST ALL-METAL CONSTRUCTION The robust all-metal construction and 135dB SPL handling means the X1 R is suited not just for the studio, but also for life on the road. It also comes standard with a mic clip that will securely attach it to any mic stand, but fits sE's Isolation Pack shock mount + pop filter if needed. Why a handcrafted ribbon? ...because they sound better that way. As with all of sE's ribbons and true condensers, the X1 R’s ribbon is handcrafted and hand-tuned by skilled technicians in our own factory. This is almost unheard-of for affordable microphones, and is a great point of pride for sE.
